Fourth of July parade

Join the parade and picnic this Fourth of July. It's one of our favorite new traditions! Last July 4 saw the first Walnut Creek Neighborhood Independence Day Parade, instigated and organized in large part by Kay and Joel Klumpp around “the peninsula” formed by Oakwood, Indianhead and Caddo.

The parade and potluck picnic is planned for the morning of Thursday, July 4.

If you want to help in any way, contact Kay at kayklumpp-at-yahoo.com or 512 491-0934. You can join in spontaneously at the start or anywhere along the way. If you don't want to be IN the parade, join us along the route and watch as we celebrate our nation's independence.

Welcome to the new blog

We have our Yahoo! group, our NextDoor site, and a Facebook group. We have the bi-monthly printed newsletter, delivered to every household in the boundaries of the Walnut Creek Neighborhood Association.

And now, we have a public-facing blog so anyone who is interested in keeping up with the neighborhood can have a quick look-see.

Let us know what you think.
